Description
An oak vase turned on the lathe — and a reishi mushroom grown from that same vase’s sawdust, reaching out of it in bonsai form. This is the piece from the homepage timelapse: it grew on camera, a few millimeters a day, photographed twice daily from the day of inoculation.
When it finishes growing it is dried, and the form holds permanently. No two pieces like it can exist — light, CO2, and the wood itself decide the final shape. We steer the conditions; the mushroom does the growing.
Includes a printed card with the piece’s grow dates and a link to its complete timelapse — you own the story of how it grew.
