100 Bowl Project

(Future TO note: This is all I have documented for this bowl. This is the very first note I took on the bowls to start documenting and planning on doing 100. Not even sure if I had set that goal yet. This really is the beginning of this project that would take me 2.5 years to complete and take me on a whole life adventure. It’s been amazing looking back on these notes.)

• Bowls are going well
• first 3 bowls done with the oak logs acquired by Mik are turning well
• Sand paper is going quicker than expected.
  • the sawdust is clogging it up.
    • Not sure if its from moisture or sap
      • I assume moisture
        • then why is it sticking together
• N64 white mask is fogging up my safety goggles.
  • ordered full face mask to solve issue
• Used grinder to sharpen tools for first time. Worked well
  • will keep sharpening the cheap pair I got for this purpose until I get better to sharpen the expensive ones 
• Backed up on the Grain Spawn
• Issues with the sterilization process
  • Solution: Laminar Flow Hood and Proper Pressure Cooker
  • Needs to be moved to new spot- Bathroom is contaminated with Trick
